Behind the scenes
Several shots in this short were filmed with an anamorphic lens, which is wider than a traditional lens. As young Alex is interviewing for jobs, this lens aims to portray the perspective of a computer camera, almost as if Alex is being interviewed by the viewer.

Since she was a little girl, Daisy has always loved cars. She's always wanted a car. One small problem: Daisy is terrified of driving and people. This is the story of how Daisy faced her fears.

Behind the scenes
Rough storyboards help me get an idea of the story's action, camera movements, & how many shots are planned for any given piece. From here, I can create a concrete shot list.
I get my ideas through a vision of an end result. The next step is conceptualizing the story through words. In this example, I've outlined the narrator's lines, introducing Daisy's character.
I like to use cork boards to highlight key moments in any given story, allowing me to really see what matters—and cut what doesn't.
